No, “Full Bluntal Nugity” is not the long awaited new studio album from Ted Nugent but rather a new live album from the former DAMN YANKEES guitarist, recorded in Detroit at the end of last year. I have to be true that I am not that familiar with Ted Nugent’s solo stuff only knowing a few of his greatest hits like “Cat Scratch Fever” or “Great White Buffalo”, and his last studio album “Spirit Of The Wild”. Nevertheless I have to state that “Full Bluntal Nugity” is a smoking and pure Hard Rock live album that really kicks ass. Maybe Ted Nugent is not a sensational vocalist but he does a good job behind the microphone and knows how to entertain the audience, and not only with his singing but also with his extra-ordinary guitar playing. Pushed by today’s THIN LIZZY rhythm section musicians, Tommy Aldridge and Marco Mendoza, his fingers mistreat the six strings to the limit! Songs like “Snakeskin Cowboys”, “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang”, “Cat Scratch Fever”, “Great White Buffalo” and “Motorcity Madhouse” shoot through the loudspeakers like a hurricane and only the cool acoustic version of “Fred Bear” gives you a short breather! “Full Bluntal Nugity” is a highly recommendable Hard Rock live album and a must for all Ted Nugent fans!
