Ted came out w/ the Gibson Byrdland.
Did the first 7 songs w/ it. Then went
to a Red White and Blue American
Flag Les Paul for songs 8-10. Before he did
KMA, Ted was saying "Every American
who owns a gun is great. Except the bad
guys; shoot the bad guys".
Then someone from backstage brought
out a Saddam Hussein cardboard standup.
Ted looked over and shook his
head saying "Hell no, thus son of a bitch
again!" He then proceeded
to put down his guitar and pick up his bow and
arrow! He took aim and let an
arrow fly, and hit Saddam right in the heart!
The crowd went nuts!
Marco sang 'Hey Baby'. During
'Motorcity Madhouse' Ted had the Gibson, and
during the solo, Ted was jumping
up and down and around going completely
insane! It was so fuckin great!
Before FRED BEAR, Ted & the
band did that instrumental. Of course, during
that & FRED BEAR, Ted had
the Zebra Striped Les Paul. Switched back to a
black Gibson for 'Cat Scratch'.
Before going into Stranglehold,
Ted was talking about these Cleveland
guitarists that he met before
the show. He said "These are cute boys, they
got their ear pierced, nipple
pierced, they got tattoos, theyre looking
really cute. Well boys, no matter
how cute you look, you'll never be TED
FUCKIN NUGENT!" Then went right
into STRANLGEHOLD! F'N GREAT!
After that, he left stage. Came
back for GWB in the Indian Headress! Going
completely all out, Ted DESTROYED
the place! Then ended with giving his
guitar a nice Whackmaster arrow!
It was the best, the BEST show
I've ever seen.
When Ted left stage, everyone
there was chanting "Ted Ted Ted"
It was great.
(I would estimate there was 3-4,000
people there)
Steve shot lots of pics at the
Akron show. You can see some of them below.
